Some SBQ's

I just realised after checking through some emails that I haven't posted the last two Stitching Blogger's Questions :)

August 3rd:Have you hand-dyed your own fabric? Why or why not? Would you like to try to do so?
The closest I've come to hand dyeing some fabric is when I experimented with some tea and coffee on linen to try and get an aged look for a project. I was quite happy with how they turned out but I can't remember ever stitching on those pieces - they must still be in my fabric draw, lol. There are some beautiful hand dyed fabrics available these days, a stitcher is spoilt for choice really, that sometimes trying to choose which one to pick to stitch a particular project on is quite overwhelming. I use the Mirabilia/TIAG?L&L Stitcher's Gallery alot or the Cross Stitch Pattern and Fabric Viewer when planning a new start, they are both very inspiring sites or shoud I say enabling, hee hee.

August 10th: What do you do with the framed stitching that you keep? Do you hang it up and leave it in one place, never to move it? Or do you have a rotation, where you have one place for stitched pieces and switch them out according to mood or season? Maybe a mixture of both?
As anyone would tell you who's been to my house, I have stitched pieces everywhere, and not only my work but gifts from friends too! The lounge, dining room, hallway, bedrooms and even in the laundry at one stage. In saying that, they are not cluttered as I like to have a change every now and then, especially with my framed Mirabilia's and L&L's. I also have several pieces packed away under one of the beds, mostly some of my earlier stitching. I should find somewhere for them to go one of these days.

Katrina has a lot of her stitching up and it all looks lovely. Her home is extremely welcoming and I just love looking at the pieces she has around.
