Has it been over a week since I last posted here? Incredible how fast the days are going by at the moment. Glenn is on his way to Sydney, Australia later today. He drove to Auckland yesterday. He's meeting up with a tour group travelling to Australia to watch the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team play Australia on Saturday night. His flight back to NZ is late Sunday afternoon so he'll stay the night in Auckland before driving home on Monday. He'll be back before I know it. I'm not going to have much time to miss him while he is away, lol: friends have asked me for dinner tonight, Glenn's parents invited me to dinner on Friday and then Saturday night I'm going to stay with my parents for the night. Mum and Dad have invited a few people around for dinner on Saturday night for a "welcome to their new house" party, lol. So it will be nice to catch up with everyone.

Time for a wedding update too: this week Glenn and I have chosen my wedding ring - its gorgeous and exactly what I've always wanted. We're going to the jewellery shop next weekend to look at a wedding band for Glenn. I've started our wedding invitations this week too and have to say I'm pretty happy with how they've turned out. Took a lot of practice to get the printing on the paper right, lots of fiddling around but its been worth it in the end. Also, two of my cousins who are going to be our bridal party are going for their 1st fitting tonight. I hope to send fabric and a pattern to my other two bridesmaids in Australia next week as they're going to organise their dresses over there.

As for stitching, this week I'm focusing on finishing the Celtic Band Sampler after being motivated to get mine done after seeing Dani's wonderful Happy dance. I hope to chart out my personalised bands tonight and get them stitched leaving only the bottom band to go. I have to say that I'll be quite sad when this SAL is finished as its been really great stitching with Dani and Carol over the past few months. Carol and I are starting another SAL in September on Celtic Winter with a few other stitching bloggers so uuumm, I wonder what's another project I can persuade Dani to start on, lol. Perhaps we should concentrate on our Noah's Subs Dani, I haven't touched my wip for at least two months!

New stash this week too - some yummy Gentle Art Sampler threads - the latest releases, arrived in the mail from one of my not so close LNS's, and my order from Silkweaver's arrived yesterday containing the fabric I'd picked for Fairy Roses, Enchanted Mermaid and Titania by Mirabilia, and a piece for Celtic Winter. I've also been putting together supplies this week for my choice for an Ornament Round Robin starting in September and I need to look through my patterns this weekend and find something for a Friendship exchange. In a few weekend's time I'm going on a stitcher's retreat with some kiwi stitching friends, can't wait! I've got a couple of ideas but I keep changing my mind after being inspired by lots of great finishes lately on everyone's blogs!

Had best leave it here for today as I'm off out for a walk soon.

You must be getting so excited about the wedding. Have the nerves kicked in yet?

Hope you enjoyed your walk!

Katrina I'd love to SAL Noah's Sub with you... maybe this way it wouldn't keep getting put aside and I'd actually finish it!
