Last Friday after work, even though it was raining, we headed out in our campervan to Pourere Beach, 40 minutes from home. It continued to rain on and off again all Friday evening but when we got up on Saturday morning, the rain had cleared and it turned out be sunny and warm for the rest of the weekend.
Our friends were also there with their dog Meg and we had a great time catching up with them, lots of walks along the beach, fishing, yummy barbecue food, and I even managed to get some stitching done and finish a book.
Mr D was in his element, there was lots of racing along the beach into the water with Meg. He was absolutely exhausted by the time we got home on Sunday afternoon!
If the weather is ok this weekend, we're off again, this time to Kairakau Beach - we haven't been out there in a few years so looking forward to it.
