A month or so later

Hi friends, it's great to be back!

The past month has gone by in such a whirlwind, packing up, cleaning, sorting and moving to our new work location. We had several delays - the weather, additional cleaning at new place, staff injuries but with thanks to lots of wonderful helpers and my fantastic staff we were able to reopen on the 21st June for all our clients.  We are so enjoying our new location - its more suitable, lots more space, has a great atmosphere, right in town with a supermarket just across the street. This week has felt like the first normal working week for me in months - so good to have the move and everything with it behind us now.

I've still been stitching when I can and will have quite a few finished pieces and ornaments to share when I get time to sit at my sewing machine.  My stitching mojo did disappear for a bit but its back now.

The only stitching photo I have to share today is my Winter Rose Manor wip, as I was watching Nicola from Bumble Stitches on floss tube recently.

Glenn and I have been out walking our local river trails when we can with Diesel - he absolutely loves these walks. Can you believe Diesel will be a year old mid July?

We've just had some more really atrocious weather with more flooding, slips around our region. The roads are terrible here right now, so many potholes everywhere. This week it has cleared a bit so hopefully this will start drying things out. And we're only at the start of winter too!

Today is the last day of term two for Hannah as it's a teachers only day tomorrow at her high school.  In just over a week's time, we are flying to Christchurch for Hannah to attend Dance school  - a week of workshops for ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dancing. We are both very excited for our trip, and of course, I have a list of places to check out while Hannah is dancing all day, including a visit to the wonderful Art & Frame shop. Can't wait!

See you soon x

Moving is a lot of work.
Diesel is a handsome guy! :)
Good luck to Hannah on her dance.
We are having a drought here in WI, hasn't rained for over 2 months, lawns are brown.
This week we had a lot of heavy smoke from the Canada fires.
Prayers for all of Canada.
