Quaker RR

Yay, its a four day weekend for us this weekend, so no work today or Monday. Feels good to be at home just chilling out. I've got a big project on at work at the moment, hopefully coming to an end in early November, which has been taking up a lot of time and leaving me feeling a bit drained in the evenings.

But I'm still finding a bit of time to stitch though and recently completed my part on Barbara's Quaker RR, doesn't it look wonderful. There's only one more round to go before we all get our pieces back. Check out our blog to see how the others are progressing.

Glenn has been busy in his spare time lately, making two bookcases for our dining room to house our book collection and much more. I'm thrilled with how they turned out.

Our rimu bookcase separates the two and on this I have arranged some of my blue and white china collection.

When I was downloading photos before I found this ornament one that I'd forgotten to share. This is a freebie by Elizabeth Designs, Tiny Tree, stitched on 32ct platinuim linen.

As I mentionned its a four day weekend for us, Labour weekend, which is a good time to get your summer vegetables planted. Here's Glenn, planting up his tomatoes earlier today. He's having a friendly competition with my Dad to see who can grow the most, lol.

Lovely to see an update dear friend. Quaker RR is lovely, very pretty colour too. Love the shelves, he is clever that DH of yours.

Good luck with the tomatoes, I can see a whole lot of banter going on there.

The bookcases are lovely - I love your collection of smalls. I'm going to need to get myself some kind of bookcase, so I can have my stuff on display (one of these days!)
