Weekend Update

Two birthday gifts I stitched earlier in the month have been received. I stitched the same design for Karen and Anne, and chose colours that I thought they might like. The design is With My Needle's Christmas Quaker from the 2006 Just Cross Stitch ornaments magazine. Both were finished into little pillows with matching backing fabric and tassles.

For Karen:

For Anne
I hope you both had great birthdays!

During last week I stitched on the Christmas Blessing Angel, and here's where I finished up on Thursday:

and a close up of her face.
Thursdays I've been stitching on the Stitching Leporello and this week I finished Part 9, wahoo, only two more parts to go and then comes the fun part of making it up.

Last night I started a birthday gift for a friend, Little House Needleworks Quilt Time Sampler , but only managed a few stitches before heading off to bed to read. I'd been out shopping with a friend for the day, surprising how shopping can tire you out, lol. Felt good to have bit of a splurge - I bought a couple of books and some new clothes for work, as well as a baby gift for our friends' new baby.

Thanks for the comments about the new layout, they are much appreciated :)
