Books - April 2019

Where did last month go? With almost two weeks off work on sick leave followed by Easter then ANZAC Day it certainly felt like the weeks whizzed on by.

I've been reading a lot lately and here's a round up of April's choices.

Blood and Bone is the 2nd in the Chronicles of One series by Nora Roberts and continues the classic tale of good versus evil.

Dead if you Don't is the 14th book in the Dectective Roy Grace series, and once more, this story is  filled with lots of thrilling action and a few twists. I'll be eagerly waiting for the 15th book which I think is being released this August.

Last month it was also the annual Book charity sale and we always go along to support this.  Both Glenn and I added quite a few books to our winter reading piles.

The last book I finished in April was Lethal White by Robert Galbraith aka JK Rowling, the 4th book in the Cormoran Strike Detective series. I actually bought this on holiday last September so I'm pleased to have finally read all the 650 + pages!  This book pretty much picks up straight after the end of the 3rd book, quite a complicated plot with lots of characters but an enjoyable read.

What have you been reading lately?

See you soon xx

I have just finished Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng, sad but thought provoking, although I did prefer her book, Little Fires Everywhere. I am now reading Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell, creepy and very good. I have loved every book I have read by Lisa Jewell, she writes in many genres so they are not the same as each other, some authors can be very predictable. x
