Here's some of the books I've been reading over summer. A real mixture of genres, some from the library, some on my Kindle and some gifted at Christmas.
I had the new Kate Morton for Christmas, The Clockmaker's Daughter, and for the first time was disappointed in one of her books. It had too many characters and too many back stories, also way too long. I have recently read The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden, a fairy tale for grown ups. Also, Holy Island by LJ Ross. This is the first of a crime series staring DCI Ryan. I love a good crime series.
I don't get much time for books these days, but I've just finished the Michael J Fox book 'Lucky Man' and am a few pages into Labyrinth by Kate Mosse, which has been sitting on my bookshelf for quite a few years! I've just seen that in that time it's also been made into a miniseries, so I'll check that out when I'm done, I think!

I'm currently reading Behind Closed Doors, with the Tatooist of Auschwitz up next. I'm reserving judgement on Behind Closed Doors...
