Another Sunday rolled around and as I'd finished the three little Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings designs the previous week, it was time for a new start for #SantaSundayxs.
This cute Pineberry Lane design has been on my to stitch list for ages. It's from the Winter 2016 edition of the Punch Needle and Primitive Stitchery magazine, to which I have a digital subscription.
Regular readers here will know that we are in the middle of some home renovations and over the last few weeks it's been all go!
We had a plasterer in for a week working on our ceilings and walls, oh the dust!
Don't you just love our industrial looking lighting? lol.
We then had a break for a week or two from renovations and then it was time for the painting to begin - kitchen, lounge and dining room ceiling.
Lucky for us my Dad is a professional painter/decorator, so while Glenn and I painted all the scotias and did the cutting in, he rolled all the ceilings. They now look fantastic. Next up will be the wall papering and we have ordered some new blinds for several of the windows in the front of our house.
Thank goodness I have my stitching and knitting to keep me sane, you should see the state of our spare room with all our belongings from the kitchen, lounge (asides from the couches and Tv) and dining room all boxed up in there. I can not wait to get in there and unpack and sort through everything!
See you soon x

Katrina, I'm sure the stitching is a stress relieve amongst all the chaos in the house. Love the Pineberry design, I have done a couple myself and am enjoying the prim style. It will be fun to watch the progress on your home!! Mary
Hi Katrina! I have been lurking on your blog for a while and enjoying your posts. That is some major work you are doing. How lovely it will be when all is done - so nice and fresh! have enjoyed your creative stitching and knitting, and yes, it is so calming. Good luck with the finishing in your rooms - it is a lot to live with all that upheaval. Lori
Always nice when the renovations are finished though, Amazing how much kitchen stuff one accumulates isn't it?
Doing renovations is right up there on the stress levels, but it WILL be worth it! We recently got new carpet. THAT was so stressful, as we had to move ALL the heavy furniture! But it got done, and we survived! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
Wow! It's got to be hard living with your house in disarray while the renovations are happening. The dust! Thankfully, our hobbies keep us sane when it seems like our sanity is going to be lost!
I can see why you have been wanting to stitch that project! Thank you for sharing your renovations - I hope the painting and so on have gone well x
