All Sorts of Things #2

The last kit for the current round of the Silver Needle's Stitching Circle arrived recently and this time it's by The Drawn Thread. I just love this design and can't wait to get it started - its been quite some time since I've stitched anything by the Drawn Thread.

Also included was the cutest little ort jar, and a Quilt Dots needle minder with a print of the stitched design, how lovely.

The next chart in the latest Blackbird Designs Loose Feather club has arrived too, loving this series so far.

My stitching mojo disappeared there for a bit but I now have several new little projects on the go. This the lovely kit that Clare gave me for my birthday.

I haven't done any redwork stitchery this year yet so this cute design is in my hoop at the moment. It's a Natalie Bird design and is from a Simply Vintage magazines a few years ago.

I have also made a start on this one over the long weekend.

Three skeins of Circus Tonic Handmade hand dyed yarn goodness arrived in the mail earlier this week from Sydney and they are gorgeous.

If you'd like to check out what I've been reading over the past few months follow the link to my Goodreads page on the right hand side bar. This pile came home with me from the local annual charity book sale recently, should keep me going over the winter months.

Read any good books lately?

See you soon xx

Love all those stitching projects you are going to do. The BBD series is beautiful. I ordered the patterns and waiting for the 1st 2 to still come. I know they will. Have ordered through The Ribbon Rose. There's a facebook group especially for a SAL for these. The fabrics they are using look beautiful.I'm currently stitching Gingerbread Village designed by Country Cottage Needleworks. Enjoying it very much. My latest read was The girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. Not sure here how I felt about it. It took me 65 pages to get into it but glad I persevered. Didn't see the movie. Going to read SSGB by Len Deighton now. Have a good week end, enjoy reading your blog.

That bunny is just adorable. Look forward seeing how all of those lovely pieces come out. My friend Mary and I have started a new blog and would love for you to come for a visit when you have time. We are at stitching friends forever. Have a lovely weekend. RJ

What great patterns!!! I am just going to have to break down and order the BBD, I love the colors and anything to do with birds.
Have you read anything by Rick Bragg?? He wrote 2 autobiographical books that I could not put down. All over but the Shoutin, about growing up poor in the Deep south of the USA and Ava's Man,I highly recommend them. Have a great week stitching and reading! Mary
