Backtracking a little bit today to share some of the lovely goodies I was given for my birthday earlier in the month. I had a wonderful day, asides from all the rain that decided to pour down all day, and finished with dinner out with my little family. The other exciting thing that happened on my birthday was that we finalised our family holiday in July, to Australia!
This gorgeous arrangement of flowers came from my Mum and Dad :
From my friend Kath, one of her special project bags - the fabrics are just gorgeous, I just love it :
Kath also gave me Needle Threader and spotty scissor sheath to go with my Shepherds Bush Fold projects.
This lovely friendship block and stitched piece were also included in Kath's gifts - I've been wanting to stitch this saying for ages!
From my friend Clare, this neat zipped tablet holder, the little kitty looks just like my Poppy cat :
A Red Brolly pattern :)
Thank you ladies, I love my gifts.
And my birthday present to myself? As soon as I saw this book being advertised I had to purchase a copy, Simply Christmas 3 by Gail Pan, one of my favourite stitchery designers.
Which project to do first?
See you soon x

Thanks for sharing your gifts, glad to see them, because they are fantastic!
It looks like you had a lovely birthday. We're going to Australia in July too. We're going to Melbourne - more for the shops and sport than the weather at that time of year. Real Madrid (soccer) are playing at the MCG and my husband and younger son are football fans. Only they will got the match - can't afford 4 tickets!! I'll spend my share at quilting shops.
It looks like you had a wonderful birthday!
What lovely gifties! Happy Birthday, tho it is belated! I see it was a good one, despite the weather trying to bring you down! Hugs!
Wonderful birthday gifts.
I have just read you blog, it took my eye as I too live in hawkes bay, I also enjoy cross stitch, crochet and quilting. Carolyn havelock north.
