I was very pleased to get a few recent stitching projects out on Saturday afternoon and spend a bit of time finishing them off.
One of the projects I made up into a small pillow was this lovely pattern offered late last year by Paulette from Plum Street Samplers, finished into a small pillow.
I used one of my favourite backing fabrics and sewed on a rouched ribbon edging.
Another recently completed piece is Cottage Garden Needleworks Garden Girl, stitched last year and made into a simple wall hanging.
This is going to be sent off shortly to my friend's little girl for her 2nd birthday :)

Both are really pretty. I like the matching fabrics.
You do such a lovely job finishing projects. :)
Gorgeous finishes! I love the green ribbon around the black fabric on the pillow. It's very eye-catching.
Great finishes.
Mary's Sampler looks so good on the black and green fabric.
Love the edging.

Beautiful finishing!!!! I always think I should be doing some finishing but then I tend to opt for stitching time instead!

Great finishing, Katrina. I especially love the way Mary's Sampler came out :)
Such lovely work and I adore the fabric you've used on the pillow. Well done on finishing your projects x

What a great way to finish Paulette's freebie!!
Perfect backing fabric for Paulette's piece! The ribbon also goes very well! I have yet to try a project on black fabric. Maybe one day... I like that CCN piece. Don't think I have seen it done up before. Hugs!
