An Oldie

Hello friends

A couple of nights ago I made a start on this month's ornament choice, Peace & Joy by the Drawn Thread, which I've had kitted up and in my stitching basket for a long time. That got me to thinking how it had been absolutely ages since I'd stitched any designs by Drawn Thread, which then lead me to search out an old work in progress, An Open Heart.  I first started this way back in 2007!!!

As you can see, I'd stitched well over half of the design and then it's been sadly neglected ever since! About this time was when I was pregnant with Hannah and because I had terrible morning sickness for the first four  months, my stitching mojo, along with everything else, lol, went out the window!

Well, the plan is now to stitch a few bands every week and it might just get finished before the end of 2012.  I've always been a big fan of the Drawn Threads designs - Random Thoughts is one of my favourite pieces I've ever stitched.

Lastly for today, a not so good pic taken this morning from the end of our driveway of the thick snow covering the Ruahine Ranges, just to the west of where we live. This week we've had some stormy winter like weather past over the country, bringing with it a real cold snap.  Brrrr!

Have a lovely day x

That's lovely! I hope you do finish it! I started a birth announcement for a friend's baby who was born in 2001. I gave it to her last month - UNFINISHED! The snow capped mountains are pretty. What a nice view you have.

Your piece is so pretty. I'm glad that you rescued it from the WIP pile. It's going to be fabulous when finished.

You really should finish this piece someday, doesn't matter how long it takes. I love mine - pass it in my hallway several times every day. That border was a killer though especially if you make a mistake! I love DT designs and have so many but I haven't stitched one in awhile.

I'm so glad you've dug this one out again. It's such a pretty design and you're stitching it beautifully!
We're in for a miserable day here today. Cold and rainy. Fall has arrived!

Wow! You have an amazing view from your house.
You have chosen a gorgeous design to work on. Love everything by The Drawn Thread. Your stitching is beautiful.
Can I ask the name of the design/designer of the piece in your blog header that says "me to you"
as I'd like to buy it.
Hope you are enjoying your holiday.
Margaret
