Hello friends, well, mid week again already - and it's been a rather soggy one so far, its been raining here since Sunday evening, very grey and dreary. There's lot of water sitting around and several of the little country roads just out of town here have been closed due to flooding. I know where I'd rather be today, at home in front of the fire, but its off to work I go soon, at least I have a luncheon out with some of my colleagues to look forward to :)
While out and about on Saturday afternoon in Hastings, we decided to have an afternoon snack at a newly opened bakery. Hannah's choice for her snack? Juice and a raspberry lamington of course, her favourite :)
Hannah's new shoes - a treat from Nannie, she wanted to wear them to bed Saturday night!
I think this new bakery is going to become a favourite - it even has its own little playground.
The view looking out our kitchen window early one morning - it was fascinating watching the colours change within a few minutes.
The rest of the weekend was spent catching up with the normal jobs around the house and getting DH's monthly computer work for his business up to date. I managed to get quite a bit of stitching done too.
We're getting excited around here - in early August DH turns 40 and over the past few weeks we've been organising his birthday party, which is being held at a local bar. There's about 50 of our family and close friends coming along so it will wonderful to see everyone. This coming weekend I'll be spending most of it in the kitchen, cooking up a storm, and getting lots of the food that can be pre cooked sorted out.
Many thanks for the comments left on yesterday's post! Have a wonderful day x
