I spent a few nights this past week sewing up more hexagons - once the fabrics are cut and the hexagons are pinned, the sewing is fairly mindless, just what I need at the moment after a busy day at work.
Last night I finished one more Christmas gift - this is for my aunty Stephanie, who looks after Hannah for us. She is a rooster fan and has quite a collection in her kitchen and dining room.
stitched on 32ct cream belfast linen using 498 DMC
I'm not quite sure how I'll finish this one, maybe into a wall hanging of some sort.
I'm looking forward to the coming weekend - we're off to do some major Christmas shopping and have a day out on Sunday with my Mum, my MIL and several friends.
Thanks for stopping by :) Have a super weekend friends!

Those strawberries are wonderful looking--make my mouth water. Here it's sliding into winter, of course, so I envy you. Love the tidy hexagons and the brilliant rooster!
Those strawberries look scrumptious!! It's so nice to see pics of your spring and summer just as we're going into winter here.
The hexagons are just gorgeous and I love the rooster! Those strawberries look wonderful!
Love the rooster! I vote for a wall hanging, if the opinion of someone who stumbled onto your blog has any weight to it :-)
I love that rooster! My brother-in-law owns a restaurant here in the states called Rooster so he has a lot of roosters around his house too.
Oh strawberries, I bought some today too and they are just yummy. My favs!
Rooster came out well, recipient will love it I am sure.
Those strawberries look incredibly yummy. Since we are going into winter here, it will be awhile before ours are back in season. Love the rooster finish. I have that in my stash to do for my mother who also collects roosters.

I'm so jealous of you and your strawberries and your antipodean summer... It's snowing outside my office right now...
