Ornament Stitching and more

Thank you to everyone who has been stopping by lately, your comments are very much appreciated. I've been a bit absent in visiting some of your blogs in return lately but I hope to remedy that over the next few weeks, once I'm home full time :)

I've only got three more days of work left before my maternity leave starts, hoping to have a couple of weeks at home before our baby decides to make an appearance :) At my last check up, my blood pressure was behaving itself but its still being monitored at the local medical centre every few days just to make sure. Baby is growing well, my "bump" has grown considering in the past two or three weeks, just as well I'm finishing work this Friday as my work wardrobe is getting a bit thin, lol. Except for when I've been at work, I haven't been up to much, just spending time getting things organised around the house with Glenn and of course, there's been plenty of stitching and knitting going on.

This month I've managed to stitch three ornaments:

Reindeer Garden -Threads Through Time, JCS 2000

Christmas Heart Pin Cushion -Mary Garry's Sewing Cabin, JCS 2000

Ho-Ho Santa -Poppy Creations, JCS 2001

I've picked out some fabrics to match these this afternoon so hope to get them made up over the coming weekend.

Next up is a small piece I've stitched for my lovely mother-in-law Heather's birthday coming up in June. I'm going to take this to a friend of mine that does very clever woodworky things to see if he can make it into a trinket box for Heather.

Happy are Those - The Sweetheart Tree

I was very chuffed with myself last week as I finally finished knitting the small shawl for our baby that I started way back in early December. I'm thrilled with how its turned out, here you can see it drapped over the bassinette. I can thoroughly recommend knitting with the Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino wool, its so lovely and soft.

I'm off to my monthly stitching get together tonight so I'd better make tracks and go and get our dinner sorted :)

Your baby shawl looks lovely, so soft and snuggly. Next time I'm at the store I'll have to check out the yarn and give it a squeeze, you make it sound so tempting. Your ornament finishes are beautiful as well, you've been very busy.
