I think this weekend is the first weekend in quite some time I haven't had anything on - no visitors staying, no barbeques to go or have, and also Glenn has been away since Friday on his annual trip to the Wellington Rugby 7's. I decided to get up early on Saturday morning so I could get all my jobs around the house done and then it was time to dust off the sewing machine (it hasn't been out of my sewing cupboard in quite some time) and set myself up for the rest of the day at the dining room table. It was way cooler than what it has been over the past few days so it was very pleasant to "craft" the afternoon away :)
Here's Curly Q Ewe in its frame, this picture is taken before I put the glass in.
A close up of the pretty pattern on the frame.
One of the Prairie Schooler ornaments from last weekend made into a pinkeep.
The other freebie I made into a small hanging pillow with a beaded edge.
Thankful for Ewe, a freebie by Little House Needleworks, was my very last stitchey finish for 2007. I chose to make this into a pin keep.
And lastly, a finish from a few months ago, Home Sweet Home by Country Cottage Needleworks made into a pillow. I didn't quite have enough filling to completely stuff it so will pick up some more at my LNS tomorrow.
Sure feels good to have my finishing mojo back. Now I'm keen to get on and make up the half a dozen or so Christmas ornaments I never got around to making up last year.
righto, I'm off now to stitch a little bit before its time to think about what we're going to have for dinner. I started the Lizzie Kate Double Flips last night, will be back in the next few days with a progress pic :)
thanks so much for stopping by :)
