Mid week update

Nothing much going on here at the moment, the same old, same old routine everyday. I am really enjoying the lovely autumn weather. Cooler in the morning and then a gorgeous day, blue sky and not a cloud in sight.

My "preparation" for the stitching exhibition next month is well underway so I have a couple of finished projects to share.

A mini bag for Zoe

Spring Violets, finished into a pillow.

I've been making great progress on Titania over the past week and as usual when I'm reaching the end of a bigger project my brain goes into overdrive as to what projects I'm going to stitch next, lol. I've decided not to replace the Titania stitching slot with another big design but work on a couple of smallish designs, namely Just Nan's Pansies Please, Drawn Thread's Toccata III, and a couple of Little House Needleworks charts. I'll see, this could all go out the window!

I worked on Anne's Quaker RR over the recent weekend too so it will be posted out to Nicki in the next day or so. I really enjoyed stitching Anne's piece, especially with the yummy coloured thread. You can check out more of our group's progress here.

Yesterday it was public holiday here in New Zealand to commemorate ANZAC day, the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli during World War 1, and as well remembering all soliders that have fought in the name of our country. My Grandad served during World War 2, in Egypt and then the Pacific. He passed away several years ago but during this week he has been very much in my thoughts.

Gorgeous finish piccies as always - your pillow looks lovely, and the wee bag is just gorgeous ... and of course I'm biased with the Quaker ;P It's lovely watching the different versions growing, isn't it? I just received Karen's today and can't wait to get stitching :D

That little pink bag is just the cutest! I'm so in awe of anyone that know's their way round a sewing machine! Great pillow too.

The colour for that RR is just lovely! I'm really into all the variageted threads just now and that's a fab shade of turqoise!

Beautiful pieces all. I'll bet Zoe loved the bag, it is so cute. Spring Violets finished up into a lovely pillow as well. Good luck deciding on which piece/pieces you want to start next. Starting a new project is such fun, but trying to decide which one to start is always such a challenge.

The pillow is so pretty! Good luck organizing your exhibit. I did a big show last year so I know how much work goes into it!
