My cousin Donna arrived late Thursday night and we sat up quite late catching up on all the news. Glenn was up and off quite early on to help out his brother start building a new deck so Donna and I headed out for a day of visiting some of our relatives. Friday night I stitched while we watched the Prestige on dvd - an interesing movie, you certainly had to concentrate to follow the story and then there was a twist at the end.
Saturday morning Glenn headed off to help out Paul again so Donna and I went into town for bit of a look at the shops and to pick up a few essentials - snack foods and hot cross buns :) She then left to go and spend the night with another of our cousins and his family. I decided to make a start on putting together the Stitching Leporello. Here's a sneak peak of the outside layout before I began sewing the outside parts together. All up I think I spent over ten hours on this during the weekend. The instructions were very clear to follow but I found it a bit fiddly - thank goodness for curved needles :)
I only have the last part of the inside to finish, hopefully over the next few evenings.
On Sunday night Donna was back from her visit and my niece came for a stayover so we had bit of "girls night" - painting fingernails, watching a girlie movie, and lots of popcorn and chocolate!
Here's Donna (wearing Zoe's bunny ears, hee hee) and Zoe, in her lovely pj's that Kath bought her for her birthday :)
and Zoe and I.
Yesterday it was my 33rd birthday - goodness that came around fast this year. I had a lovely day and got very spoilt with some great pressies - photos tomorrow :) Glenn took me out for lunch at one of the local tearooms and then after seeing Donna off at the bus stop late in the afternoon I spent a few hours stitching on Spring Violets. This piece is almost done and has been such a pretty stitch, I'm already thinking about which Country Cottage or Little House Needleworks project I can start next!
I also found some time to finally frame Country Stitcher City Stitcher over the weekend too, another "to do" job crossed off my list.
Enjoy your day - for me its back to work but at least its going to be a short week!

City Stitcher/Country Stitcher looks great framed up, the frame you chose really goes nice with it. Glad you had a good visit with your cousin, and your girls night with Zoe sounds like you had a lot of fun too. Looking forward to seeing Leporello all finished up.
