Friendship Exchange

A little parcel arrived today from Christine - good things come in small packages! I loved everything!! Here's the little Friendship wall hanging that Christine stitched for me, lots of little beads on here! It also has the cutest little blue bird treasure stitched on:

Its been so much fun getting you know you through this exchange :) I will hang your little banner with a couple of others that I have in a special spot in my office. Well, my friend Shelley and I caved in yesterday for some more stash ordering from the US, BUT we found another lovely pattern to SAL together instead of the Judy O'dell one, so techniquely we saved some money, spending $15 US each instead of $65, tee hee. I had remembered Anne mentionning this lovely sewing case recently, the Lavender Rose Sewing case by Fancy Works, and pointed it out to Shelley, wondering if she'd like it too and of course she did - we have very similiar stitching tastes, lol. And of course we just had to add a few more goodies to our order, Shelley ordered several Cherished Stitches designs and I also got Sonata by Abby Lane Designs, one I admired for awhile now.

I'm very pleased that my weekend has started, having finished work at lunchtime today. I don't know if its the cold weather, work related stress, or the midwinter blues but I've really had to drag myself through the later half of this week. I'm going to go and have some "therapy" now by getting the sewing machine out to do some finishing on a few small projects. I plan to attack my sewing drawers sometime over the weekend too, there's reels of cotton, ribbons, and fabric everywhere so they need to be organised, lol, and I'm sure that will make me feel alot better too. Nothing like a bit of decluttering, its good for the soul :)
