'Tis the Silly Season

Oh my goodness, the past week has flown by in one great big whirlwind! We've had Christmas shopping trips, a get together with Hannah's baby group, a Christmas dinner, a night away from home for Glenn's Christmas work do, a birthday dinner, and tonight its the annual Christmas party at my work. Later in the week, Hannah has her daycare Christmas party and we are going out for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. On top of that I've been crazy busy at work, finishing off reports due in before the end of year and other paper work for my last board meeting of the year.

But its all part of the fun of the Christmas season, which I just love and this time in two weeks I'll be starting a three week holiday break too, yippee!

Over the past year or so I've not participated in any stitching exchanges so the other day I was very excited to receive this super ornament from Carol.

Carol has finished it off so nicely, the beaded edging looks wonderful. I can't wait to hang this on our tree, which Hannah and I are going to decorate this coming weekend.

Some of the ornaments that I've stitched over 2009 have been now given out to family and friends so I can now share a pic of the candy cane hanger that I made that was part of the gift tag on the ornaments.

I thought these were so cool, and they were very simple to make.

Yesterday my dear friend Kath celebrated her birthday so we invited her to join us for dinner and we had a lovely evening together. I'll be back tomorrow with some pics!
thanks for stopping by!
