For the past few days I've been stitching on a wip, Wandering Shepherd by Shepherds Bush. All going well I might just have a finish later in the week. I think I posted in my July goals that I was going to focus on my friends' wedding sampler this month but instead I thought I'd clear a few wips including Wandering Shepherd, and an Elizabeths Design pattern that I'd started a wee while back. Its so I can clear my stitching "conscience", especially if I start all the projects I listed in the post below at the retreat this weekend, lol.

I've been having a great week this week. For the past few weeks, my work has been extremely full on - new clients, an independent financial review to get ready for, end of our current financial year and I've also had annual staff appraisals to carry out. Well, its all been worth it because last night I had my own appraisal with the board and it couldn't have gone better (especially since from next week my annual salary has increased!) Also, to top it off, my Mum and I will be booking our flights to Melbourne, Australia in September in the next few days. We leave on the 20th September and return on the 30th September. While we are there we'll be able to attend my uncle's 50th birthday and of course, shop until we drop! We'll also be able to see for the first time my cousin's new baby, due in August. Its been 6 years since my last trip to Melbourne, and 4 yrs since Mum last went so she is very excited about seeing her two brothers and their families.

While browsing around last night at Needlecraft Corner, I spotted this new pattern by Bent Creek, Wedding Row.

What a cool design that I could stitch for Glenn to celebrate our first wedding anniversary in October.

Thanks too for all the wonderful comments left about the bag and needleroll. You guys are awesome. If anyone is interested in the bag pattern, I'd be only too happy to share the pattern for it.

That design is fabulous!!! I could totally see making that as a Valentine's gift for my fiance. (We've already picked out the wedding sampler and it's started.)
